

Patricia Jean Pierce, of Boulder, Colorado, died Monday, August 28, 2006 at the HospiceCare of Boulder and Broomfield Counties Care Center in Louisville. She was 80 years old.Patricia was born November 20, 1925 in St. Joseph, Missouri, to George and Lucille (Kratzinger) Barr. On May 12, 1945, she married Frank Robert Pierce, Sr. in St. Joseph. The couple made their home in several Midwestern states before moving to Littleton, Colorado in 1963 and to the Boulder/Longmont area in 1973. Several years after Frank?s retirement, the Pierces wintered in Rio Verde, Arizona. Mr. Pierce died December 15, 2000. Mrs. Pierce was a member of LifeBridge Christian Church where she volunteered in the nursery and sang with the Senior Choir. She had been a member of the Boulder Country Club for 26 years. She also enjoyed reading, playing gin rummy, cooking, shopping, spending time with her family, and keeping in touch with lifelong friends.Survivors include her son, Frank R. Pierce, Jr. of Longmont; two daughters, Lynne Pierce-French and her husband, Eric, of Dayton, Ohio, and Jeanne Pierce Jackson and her husband, Greg, of Longmont; six grandchildren, Corrine, Robert, Danielle, Cory, Breean, and Kelley; and six great grandchildren, Braeden, Logan, Kaiya, Avary, Maryah, and Hailey.Mrs. Pierce was preceded in death by her husband, and her parents.Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Howe Mortuary, Longmont. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 2, 2006 at Howe Mortuary with David Bradshaw officiating.
