Patrick J. Couch

Patrick J. Couch, age 71, of Colorado Springs, CO passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, July 4, 2018, at Longs Peak Hospital in Longmont, CO after a battle with cancer. He was born September 25, 1946 in Chicago, IL. His parents were the late Henry and Maurita (Kelly) Couch. He was a 1965 graduate of Quigley. He went on to earn his Bachelor's degree in Sociology and taught English at Elizabeth Seton High School. He married his soul mate, Gloria (Gatley) Couch on January 3, 1970 in Oak Lawn, IL. Pat and Gloria were very blessed with the birth of their daughter, Kelly (Couch) Pinkal. He worked as an executive director and manager. Pat truly loved his family and worked hard to provide for them. He was very community minded, he wanted to help out in any way he could. He was president of his neighborhood block captain program. Pat had an incredible passion for golf. He began playing and caddying at a very young age. He was a skilled player and played as much as he could, including with his son- in-law, Jeff Pinkal. Pat was the proud grandpa of Landon and Rylan, who always brought a smile to his face. He is survived by his sister, Dr. Maureen Penny Cooper and husband, Dr. William Cooper, sister-in-law, Susan Couch and many nieces and nephews. He is proceeded in death by his brother, Dennis Couch and sister, Margaret Peggy Bogen. Family, friends, and others whose lives Pat touched are invited to St. Francis of Assisi Church, 3791 Pike Rd, Longmont, CO 80503 at 4pm on Thursday, July 12, 2018, with dinner immediately following in the Parish Center.
