Philip was born on February 25, 1959, in Denver, Colorado to Ernest and Franca Cobo. Philip graduated from West High School in Denver. He was a journeyman electrician for Kenny Electric and enjoyed being a foreman and teaching the new apprentices. Philip loved travelling, with the beach being his favorite destination. Although a Colorado native, Philip loved the Oklahoma Sooners and travelled near and far with his wife and close friends to watch them play. He enjoyed riding his Harley with his wife and friends. Philip loved being outside and took great pride in his immaculately kept yard. Spending time with his family and pets was the most important thing to Philip. He loved playing outside with the grandchildren or walking the pups. Philip had a kind heart and was always willing to help out a neighbor or friend. He will be most remembered for his love of fun and his contagious laugh.
Philip is preceded in death by his parents and nephews, Jason and Christian LaFore.
Philip is survived by his wife, Beverly Cobo, of Frederick, Co; daughter, Sarah Garza and her two children-Alex and Sierra, of Denver, Co; and son, Aaron Cobo, his wife Kelly and their three children- Mary Jane, Amaya, and Silas, of Thornton, Co; sisters, Mary Travis and husband John, of Highlands Ranch, Co; Ernestine Camacho and husband Mel, of Mesa, Arizona; Chris LaFore and husband Mike, of Denver, Co; Patty Armand, of Federal Heights, Co; Francine Zerini, of Aurora, Co; nephews, nieces, great nieces and nephews, many friends, and pets-Maggie, Diego, and Emilio.
Visitation, Monday July 29th, 2019 4-7pm at Howe Mortuary. Services will be Tuesday July 30th, 2019 at 10:30am at the Howe Mortuary Chapel, followed by a reception in the Howe Event Center. Graveside Service will follow the reception at Foothills Garden of Memory at 2pm.
