

Phyllis Cox of Longmont, Colorado, died Thursday, November 22, 2007, at the HospiceCare Center in Louisville. She was 71.Phyllis Arlene was born December 3, 1935 in Longmont, Colorado to Roy and Dorothy (Kraft) Babcock. She grew up in Longmont and graduated from Longmont High School. Phyllis married Clifford Lee Cox in Raton, New Mexico on April 23, 1953. Phyllis worked in clothing manufacturing as a seamstress for 20 years in the Denver metro area. She enjoyed dancing and was able to dance many different dance styles. She also enjoyed fishing, water skiing, and bike riding. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Gerald Cox; three brothers, Ronald, Keith, and Rodney Babcock; and one sister, Patricia Bittler.She is survived by her husband, Cliff; two sons, Terry Cox and his wife, Dianna, of Aurora, CO and Gerry Cox, also of Aurora; one stepson, Doug white and his wife, Esther, of Alaska; 16 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.Memorial services will be held at Salt and Light Longmont Reformed Presbyterian Church, 9498 Anhawa Ave., Longmont, on Monday, November 26, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Marty Wilsey officiating.
