

Ray was born and raised in Pueblo, Colorado, the son of Earl Knuth and Dorthy (Carpenter) Knuth. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, demonstrating a lifelong commitment to service.
He was united in marriage to his beloved wife, Mary Ellen Knuth, in a beautiful ceremony in Hawaii over 30 years ago. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and shared memories.
Ray dedicated many years of his career to Xcel Energy before retiring. He was a hardworking and dependable individual who took pride in providing for his family.
A man of faith, Ray was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church. He found joy in life's simple pleasures, especially traveling, fishing, and gardening—hobbies that brought him peace and happiness.
Ray is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ellen Knuth; his children, Bob, Tammy, Kim, and stepdaughters Carrie and Robin ; and his sister, Nancy. He was a proud grandfather to six grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense joy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Dorthy Knuth; his brother, Robert; and his sister, Barbara.
Ray will be remembered for the love he had for his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
