Rhonda Sue Bates

Rhonda Sue Bates, 65, of Johnstown, CO passed away November 29, 2016 at the Pathways Hospice Care Center in Loveland, CO.She was born November 12, 1951 in Stratton, NE to Alvin Duane and Betty Bryce (Lavell) Williams. As a child, she moved with her family to CO in 1956.Rhonda married Terrance Brown on January 31, 1970. He preceded her in death in July 1984. On November 22, 1986, she married Jack R. Bates.She was a bookkeeper, working for several years at Life Care Center of Longmont until 2001. Following Life Care Rhonda kept books for her step-son Tim in his construction business. Rhonda enjoyed crocheting afghans and her video games. Until her failing health, Rhonda especially enjoyed hosting family get togethers and camping at Red Feather.In addition to her first husband Terrance, Rhonda is preceded in death by her daughter Christine Brown, mother Betty Williams, sister Nancy O'Brien and brother Ronald Williams.Rhonda is survived by her husband Jack, son Terrance Brown, Jr., two grandchildren Brandon Brown and Tyler Brown, great grandson Waylon Brown, father Duane Williams, sister Deborah Brigham and brother Byron Williams. She is also survived by four step-sons Buck Bates, Tim (Louise) Bates, Jeff (Cecilia) Bates, and Kevin (Deborah) Bates and several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. Visitation will be 1:00 to 3:00 PM on Friday, December 2, 2016 at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.
