

Richard James Archambeau, 60 of Boulder, passed away August 13, 2018 in Louisville, Colorado. Richard was born May 13, 1958 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Charles Archambeau and Eleanor (Williams) Suttle. He grew up in Big Bear Lake, California and graduated from Big Bear High School. Richard moved to Colorado to attend college at the Colorado University in Boulder, where he obtained his Bachelor's degree.Throughout his life, he worked in avionics, communications, computers, road construction engineering and founded a geothermal company with his father, Charles. Richard had a brilliant mind and a keen interest in geology and engineering. He currently has a patent pending in geothermal energy.He was a thoughtful man with a big heart and was always willing to help others. He enjoyed photography, Ham radio, rock climbing, hang gliding, skiing and motorcycles but was most fond of spending time with friends, family and his granddaughters.Richard is survived by his mother, Eleanor Suttle of Lyons and father, Charles (Phyllis O'Connell) of Boulder, his two daughters, Amy Kimerer of Longmont and Nicole Archambeau of Denver, his partner, Glenda Pullam, two sisters, Jane (Chris) Allo of Lyons and Annette (Patrick) Archambeau of Severance, two granddaughters, Annabella and Lucy, one aunt, Barbara Curry, one uncle Jim Archambeau as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.A celebration of life will be held 1:00 p.m., September 17 at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.
