Richard Joseph Borkowski, 62, of Longmont, died March 29, 2011. He was born September 25, 1948 in Buffalo, NY, the son of Chester and Margaret (Galen) Borkowski.Richard moved to Longmont in 1974 from Florida. He was Director of Media at CU-Boulder and retired in 2005. Photography was a passion of Richard's. He enjoyed cooking and was a fine chef.He is survived by his sons, Michael Borkowski of Longmont and Joseph Borkowski of Ft. Collins; his brother, Bill Borkowski (Sue) and his nephew, Kevin. Richard is preceded in death by his parents.Cremation at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory. Memorial contributions may be made to the Richard Borkowski Memorial Fund and mailed to Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.
