

Richard was born in Lincoln, Nebraska to John and Pauline Schreiber on June 2, 1935. Richard graduated from Greeley High School in 1954 where he excelled in academics, football, and wrestling.
He graduated from Colorado State College (University of Northern Colorado) in 1958.
He was a teacher at South High School in Denver for 30 years. Richard honorably served his country twice as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Army. Richard enjoyed the simple pleasures in life with his family and friends which included fishing, hunting, golfing, woodworking, and watching sports, especially watching his sons and his granddaughter excel in their sports and activities. He had a soft heart, was a friend to everyone and was a long-time wrestling coach at South High School and Mead Middle school.
Richard is survived by his wife of 67 years: Theresa, sons: Richard Jr. and Rod (Maren), granddaughter: Kristina and nephew: Mark (Shari) and numerous other relatives. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother: Jack.
Funeral Services will be a private family ceremony.
Memorial donations may be made to any organization that supports children.
Richard lived a life full of love, joy, laughter, humor and chocolate. He will be missed dearly and we are glad he is at peace and with the Lord.
