Robert Bob W. McCord

Robert W. Bob McCord died July 8, 2013 at Longmont United Hospital. He was 65 years old. He was born July 3 1948 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Robert W. and Juanita (Dunn) McCord.Bob graduated from South Garland High School, Garland, TX in 1967. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Air Force. Bob was a military photographer. His overseas duty stations included Thailand during Vietnam and Germany. He was honorably discharged in September 1979.On February 15, 1969 he married Carol A. Parsons in southern California. Bob spent many years as a finance/credit manager for General Motors Assistance Corp. (GMAC) in Santa Paula, CA. After retiring from GMAC he worked for several credit unions.He enjoyed photography, model railroading and model ship building. Bob was a professional Santa and a member of the Society of Santa's.He was preceded in death by his parents. Bob is survived by his wife Carol of Firestone, son Robert (Erin) McCord; grandchildren Morgan Kennedy, Avery McCord and Mikayla Moulton, great grandson Liam Kennedy, two brothers Paul and Michael McCord, one sister Rebecca Beaird, father-in-law Harold Parsons, sister-in-law JoAnn Murray and brother-in-law Wayne Parsons.A funeral service will be held at 11:00am Thursday, July 11, 2013 at the Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.
