

Bob was born on July 22, 1933, in Panora, Iowa, to Charles Melvin Bryan and Lula May Sturdevant Bryan. He graduated from Guthrie Center High School in Guthrie Center, Iowa, and attended college courses in Denver, Colorado. Bob proudly served his country as a Private in the U.S. Army from February 1954 to January 1956, completing boot camp at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, and serving in Fort Meade, Maryland, and Munich, Germany.
On April 6, 1958, Bob married the love of his life, Marlo Joan Reinking, at Messiah Lutheran Church in Longmont, Colorado. Together, they raised a family and were devoted members of the church for many years.
Bob enjoyed a successful career, including time with the U.S. Geological Survey and International Harvester Co. He later worked for Rocky Flats, where he retired on August 31, 1992, after 22 years of service.
A man of faith and community, Bob was a longtime member of Messiah Lutheran Church and volunteered with Boulder County Respite Services. He was known as a devoted husband, father, and role model who cherished time with his family. Bob loved the outdoors, hiking, gardening, traveling, and cruising. He was an avid football fan and always enjoyed watching games with his loved ones.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Marlo Joan Bryan; daughters Teri Lynn Bryan-Morrow (husband Scott), Lori Anne Bryan-Long (husband James), and Robyn Rene Bryan-Van Pay (husband Rory); and his five granddaughters, four great-granddaughters, and one great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Melvin and Lula May Bryan, and his siblings, Melvin “Bud” Bryan, Ronald D. Bryan, Darold E. Bryan, and Charlene M. Bryan.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on January 11, 2024, at Messiah Lutheran Church in Longmont, Colorado, officiated by Pastor Ron Rieger. Burial will follow at Lyons Cemetery in a private ceremony.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Messiah Lutheran Church in Longmont or Pathways Hospice in Fort Collins.
Bob will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
