Robert Eugene Keller

Bob was born October 30, 1951 in Ainsworth, NE to Wauneta Jean Allen and Phillip Donald Keller. He graduated from Ainsworth High School in 1970, and then received an Associates Degree in Heating and Air Conditioning from Nebraska Tech in Milford, NE in 1972. He then moved to Kearney, NE where he began his career in the HVAC industry and later partnered with his dad in operating Keller Electric Heating and Air in Ainsworth, NE. He was a volunteer firefighter with the Ainsworth Fire Department.

Bob married Stacia Ellen Schoenfeldt on August 23, 1975 in her hometown of Norfolk, Nebraska. In 1979 they moved to Lafayette, CO and later settled for more than 40 years in Longmont, CO.

Bob worked for 29 years for Design Mechanical, Inc. (Comfort Systems). He led crews installing commercial HVAC systems at Whole Foods, Cheesecake Factory, NCAR Oceanic Research, Qual-Com, Boulder Memorial Hospital, Hauser Chemical, all in Boulder, CO; Hewlett Packard in Ft. Collins, CO;Ambulatory Surgery Center in Cheyenne, WY and Longmont, CO; Gateway Plaza in Vail, CO; Conoco Corporate Offices, California Creations, Reynolds Aluminum, Corning Laboratories all in Denver, CO and many others.

Bob loved camping and woodworking. He especially loved spoiling his fur babies, Buffy and Spike. He is survived by his sisters: Bonnie Bellin of Johnstown, CO; Valeta Hallsted of Gilcrest, CO; Rosiland (Bruce) Beebout of Kearney, NE, and Rhonda Keller (Russ Billingsley) of Hershey, NE. Sister-in-law, Barbara Keller, of North Platte, NE and many nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and older brother, Jim. Inurnment will take place at Faith Community Lutheran Church Columbarium in Longmont, CO. A celebration of Bob’s life will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made directly to the family for further designation towards animal care.
