Robert Lee Sweetland

Robert was born on July 15, 1949, in Ft Collins, CO.

Husband to Anita Millerd Sweetland for 56 years. They were married on June 27, 1967, in Evergreen, CO.

Father to Tonya Sweetland Dickett and Wendell and Robert Lee Sweetland, Jr and Caren.

Grandfather (Gamma) to Austin and Samantha Pickett, Benjamin, Jushua, Jonathan and Alexander Sweetland.

Brother to Tom Sweetland and Vickie, Sue Risley (D.2020) and Waine, and Tad Millard and Linda.

Son to Leon H. Sweetland, lll (D.2021) and M. Jeane Sweetland (D.2010).

Professor of Physics, Calculus 1, 11, 111, & Trigonometry, Astronomy and Geology for 40 years at Redlands Community College, in El Reno, OK.

Bob was a strong, courageous, intelligent, and humorous support to his family, friends, science, education, and science fiction/fantasy. He spent his 74 years learning, loving, teaching and exploring. He would want us to plant our feet firmly on this planet full of beautiful rocks, minerals and history, and look up at the night sky to experience the magic and energy of the Universe.

There will be a memorial service on August 12, 2023, at 9:30am at Central Presbyterian Church
