
Roger D. Chapman, of Westminster died March 11, 2011 at St. Anthony North Hospital in Westminster due to complications related to severe diabetes. He was 57 years old.Roger was born on July 6, 1953 in Dallas, Texas, the son of Delbert L. and Lena (Wilson) Chapman. He moved to Colorado in 1962. He graduated from Alameda High School in Jefferson County in 1972 and the Colorado Theological Seminary with a Bachelors degree in Biblical Studies. Roger lived his adult life in the Denver Metro area. Roger loved music his entire life and became involved with radio. He worked in management and radio announcing in several states. Roger was also a former Communications Director for Promise Keepers.He was a member of the Church of the Cross. Roger loved history and had written a book on the spiritual history of Denver. He also liked to play guitar and was an accomplished artist.Roger was preceded in death by his mother.Roger is survived by two daughters, Chl Chapman of Westminster and Rachel Chapman-Karch and husband Kendall, of Oklahoma; his father, Del Chapman of Westminster; his sister Patty (Chapman) Kee and husband LaDon of Berthoud, and a granddaughter Lillian.Services will be held on Friday March 18th at 10:30 a.m. at Grace Christian Center, 4085 Independence Ct., Wheat Ridge COMemorial Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association and mailed to Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.
