

RoseMarie Humbard, of Longmont, passed away surrounded by family. She was born on July 27, 1931, in Amity, Arkansas, to Ralph Joseph Linscott and Bermi Root. In 1947, she moved with her family to Longmont, where she graduated from Longmont High School with the Class of 1949.
On November 23, 1949, Rose married the love of her life, Bill Humbard. They shared 64 years together before his passing in 2013.
Rose was a dedicated worker throughout her life. Her first job was with Woolsworth in Longmont, and she later retired from Hewlett Packard in 1994. In addition, she volunteered with the Senior Center’s “Carry Out Caravan” program, filling grocery orders for many years.
She was adventurous and loved to travel. Rose enjoyed trips across the United States in her camper, as well as many cruises to Alaska, the Caribbean, and through the Panama Canal. She especially loved outings with the Senior Center, including trips to Albuquerque for the Balloon Fiesta, Branson, Blackhawk, and Deadwood. Las Vegas was another favorite destination.
Closer to home, Rose enjoyed tending to her yard, where she found joy and peace. She was known for her warm personality and radiant smile, which will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Humbard; her son, Greg Humbard; her parents; and her sister, Ann Paulsrud and brother-in-law Buck Paulsrud.
She is survived by her daughters Sharon (Vic) McLachlan of Longmont, Marsha (Dennis) Cox of Greeley, Cindy (Alan) Robinson of Elberta, Alabama. Rose also leaves behind 9 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, with another on the way, as well as nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
A family celebration of Rose’s life is to be held at a later date.
