Ruby was born in Oklahoma to Jesse Mayo and Stella Lee where she lived until she married Ray Morrow. They spent a brief time in Maryland before moving to Colorado in 1958.
Ruby believed family came first and still had room in her heart to bring in friends and neighbors into her family orbit. She never forgot a birthday or anniversary and always gave you a call or text to let you know she was thinking of you.
She enjoyed gardening and preserving food for her family. Weekends were spent camping and spending time at a lake boating with her family and friends. Her grandchildren, nieces and nephews all have fond memories of their trips to Lake McConaughey and her helping them to learn to waterski. Her grandson still remember their one-on-one time with her to Oklahoma to visit relatives and see where she grew up. Her granddaughters have fond memories of her always being there for them, especially during "scary storms" when they were little.
She was the owner and operator of her own beauty shop in Frederick for many years. Friends and family all have fond memories of her working her hair magic on them at home and in her salon, many would just pop in and "hang out" when they were in town.
She passed quietly in her sleep to join her husband Ray, daughter Tina, and beloved niece Rita in heaven. She leaves behind daughter Linda, son Dale, three grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She will be missed by all her nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors who checked in on her frequently.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel located 326 Terry Street, Longmont, Colorado.
