Ruth Dawn Lockman

Ruth Dawn Lockman, 94, went to be with the Lord on February 25, 2011 at Timberline Lodge where she lived and was taken care of for the last 3 years by their wonderful staff. She was born May 21, 1916 in Chattanooga, Tennessee and lived there until she moved to Longmont in 2002 to be closer to her daughter after her husband's death. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Terry Guyn of Longmont, Colorado, 3 grandchildren, Kelley (Marcie) Lane of Rome, Georgia, Kevin (Debbie) Lane of Ringgold, Georgia and Michael Lane of Hollywood, Florida; 4 great-grandchildren, Andrew and Sarah Lane of Rome, Ga. and Megan and Amber Lane of Ringgold, GA; 1 brother, Ernest Dawn of Washington State, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John, 3 sisters and 3 brothers.There will be a celebration of her life at 2:00PM on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at Timberline Lodge, 9198 Jopita Dr., Longmont, CO 80503. Cremation was entrusted to Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory. Her ashes will be buried in Chattanooga, Tennessee in May, date to be determined.In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her name to Hospice of Boulder and Broomfield Counties, 2594 Trailridge Dr. East, Lafayette, CO 80026 or Timberline Lodge, 9198 Jopita Dr., Longmont, CO 80503.
