Sally Joyce Scarborough

Sally Joyce Schneider Scarborough died January 30, 2012 at Longmont United Hospital in Longmont, CO. She was 77. She was born November 6, 1934 in Wichita, KS to Earl Chase and Mildred Esther (Armour) Schneider. She grew up in the Bently community in Kansas.Sally moved to Longmont in 2009 from Oxford, AL.She began her working life in the travel industry working for TWA Airlines and after marrying, she worked as a librarian, homemaker, and finished her career in social services as an administrative assistant.Sally enjoyed gardening, baking, family, reading, and puzzles.She is preceded in death by her husband of 34 years Robert Scarborough; her parents; and one sister Judith Schneider.Sally is survived by her daughter Susan Dunnam and husband Russell of Longmont, CO; one granddaughter Sarah Dunnam and step-grandson William Dunnam both of Longmont; her son Johnny Scarborough and his partner Tammy Shafer of Raleigh, NC; her brother Phil Schneider and wife Noreen of Issaquah, WA; her sister Kathleen Penner of Newton, KS; and many nieces and nephews.A memorial service will be held at 5:30pm Friday February 3, 2012 at Faith Baptist Church in Longmont, CO. Memorial contributions may be made to HospiceCare of Boulder and Broomfield Counties or Faith Baptist School in c/o Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Cremation at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory.
