Samara L. Brickman

BRICKMAN, Samara Lee, 37, of Longmont, Colorado, died Sunday, May 21, 2006 at the Hospice Care Center in Louisville.Samara was born October 4, 1968 in Clarksburg, West Virginia to Kenneth and Rita (Horwath) Johnson. She grew up in several locations, but attended and graduated from Durango High School. Samara then attended the University of Wisconsin in Madison where she became a licensed practical nurse.Samara married Michael D. Brickman on June 6, 1992 in Longmont, Colorado. She worked in several nursing homes in Longmont and also in home health care. Samara enjoyed doing scrapbooks and spending time outdoors where she was able to ride snowmobiles and four-wheelers. As a loving mother, she especially enjoyed taking her two children to the park and spending time with them.Mrs. Brickman was preceded in death by three of her grandparents.Samara is survived by her husband and two children, son Andrew and daughter Alayna of Longmont; her father, Kenneth Johnson and his wife Janett of Rincon, Georgia; her mother, Rita Bailey and her husband Vincent of Peoria, Arizona; her grandfather, Elmer Horwath of Jefferson, Wisconsin; three brothers: Stephen Blaylock, Julian Bailey, and Blake Bailey all of Phoenix, Arizona; and two sisters: Sarah Sam and her husband Tyson of Phoenix, Arizona and Heather Cavalier and her husband Keith of Kingston, Georgia.Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 26 at Howe Mortuary with Reverend Dick Miller officiating. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Howe Mortuary.Memorial contributions may be given to a charity of choice in Samara?s memory.
