Scott Robert Brelsford rode his Harley Davidson to Heaven on March 31, 2012. His leisurely motorcycle ride through Poudre Canyon on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon was cut short, ending an amazing life all too soon. We take comfort knowing he was doing something he loved during his final seconds of life, but he will be truly missed by so many.Scott was born on October 17, 1964 in Meckinock, North Dakota to Robert and Marlene Brelsford. He grew up in Elgin, Illinois and Aurora, Colorado, graduating from Aurora Central High School where he was an accomplished swimmer on the Swim Team.Scott received his Bachelors from Colorado State University in 1987 and moved to northern California to begin his career in Construction Management. He continued his career in Baltimore, Maryland and was thrilled to return to Colorado. Through his employment with Alliance Construction Solutions of Colorado he eventually settled in Cheyenne, Wyoming and was promoted to Senior Project Manager.Scott is survived by son Scott (21), a junior at Colorado State University; daughter, Jennifer (17), a senior at Fort Collins High School (children with Becky (McFarland) Brelsford); parents Robert and Marlene; sister Sandy and husband Scott Grugel, their daughter Lexi; brother Steve and wife Kendra and their children Jacob and Victoria.Scott could accomplish anything he set his mind to and brought joy to everyone around him with his happy-go-lucky demeanor and his silly phrases ( Scottisms). Scott's serving spirit followed him through life as he helped so many as an Eagle Scout, served on the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity and chaired its Construction Committee, was a Boy Scout Leader and Pinewood Derby Committee Member, and set builder for Jenni's drama class. He LOVED a good conversation, time with friends and family, and deeply enjoyed an afternoon getaway on his Harley.Scott was an amazing dad, son, brother, uncle, coach, mentor, role model and friend. We will miss him deeply.A memorial service will be held at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 111 Del Mar Circle, Aurora, CO 80011 on Saturday, April 14th at 1:00pm, followed by an afternoon of remembrance at The Summit Event Center, 411 Sable Avenue, Aurora, CO 80011 from 3:00pm to 6:00pm.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be given to complete Scott's dream of a college education for his children, Scott & Jennifer.
