

A lifelong Coloradoan, Stacy was the youngest of two boys born to William and Bonnie Maydew. His upbringing was fun and adventurous, instilling an interest in sports like softball, volleyball, and golf. Stacy grew up to become a software engineer and contributed to three US patents for the design of database management systems. His personal interests included motorcycle riding, target practice, travel, camping, and boating. He was passionate about patriotism and volunteered his time as a member of the Patriot Guard Riders.
Stacy was a generous and thoughtful gift giver, never failing to find the most unique and meaningful presents for birthdays, holidays, and anniversaries. He had a great sense of humor, a calm disposition, and a caring heart. Stacy was known to look after others ahead of himself.
Stacy is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Donna Maydew; children Lily Maydew, Jennifer (Kyle) Maydew, and Nick Sherwin; grandsons Cameron Racine and David (Natalie) Johnson; brother Brett (Liz) Maydew; dogs Max, Molly and Maggie; and Darci the guinea pig. He is now reunited with his parents, William and Bonnie Maydew, and son Christopher Racine
A private family visitation will take place on Thursday, September 18. A larger celebratory gathering is scheduled for Friday, September 19 at La Mariposa restaurant in Longmont.
