

He was born on September 14, 1938, in Auburn, New York, to Stanley V. Rusaw and Marion Vanholtz Rusaw.
Stan married the love of his life, Sharon LeClair, on August 31, 1956, in Syracuse, New York. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and service, raising their family in Liverpool, New York before relocating to Longmont, Colorado in the summer of 2015.
Stan dedicated 38 years of his professional life to Bristol Myers Pharmaceutical, beginning in 1957 as a stockroom clerk. Through hard work and determination, he rose to lead the filling department, overseeing more than 200 employees, and played a key role in opening offshore production plants. After retiring in 1995, he continued to share his expertise as a consultant for several pharmaceutical production facilities.
A man of deep and abiding faith, Stan was an active member of LifeBridge Christian Church. He had a long history of service within the church and most recently served on the pastoral care team, where he found great purpose in encouraging others—especially those facing loss or difficult times.
Stan will be remembered for his generosity, his genuine care for others, and his unwavering love for his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon; his son Rick and daughter-in-law Diane; his grandchildren David (Brittany) Rusaw, Eric (Lesley) Rusaw, and Chelsea (Chaz) Robbins; and his eight great-grandchildren, Adalyn, Bria, Sadie, Cooper, Olivia, Carter, William, and Braden. He is also survived by his sister, Evelyn Grubbe, along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Marion Rusaw; his siblings Dick, Carl, and Virginia; and his daughter, Darcy.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hope For Bereaved, an organization that Stan and Sharon helped build, reflecting his lifelong commitment to supporting others through grief and hardship.
Stan’s legacy of faith, compassion, and devotion to family will live on in all who knew and loved him.
