Stephanie Call

Stephanie Call, a strong, devoted and loving wife, daughter, sister, and aunt passed away in Boulder, CO at Boulder Community Foothills Hospital on December 26, 2014 with her husband, Jerry of 30 years by her side and her niece Jessica.

Stephanie was born June 19, 1955 in Germantown, Pennsylvania to Hugh Jr. and Erma Pitzer. The oldest of five children, she moved to Colorado in 1979 where she met her husband Jerry Call. They were married in August of 1984 in the lovely mountain setting of Peaceful Valley, Colorado where wedding guests had to arrive via 4 wheel drive vehicles that added a fun beginning to their beautiful day.

Stephanie attended Prince Georges Community College in Largo, Maryland.

Her work career included being an administrative and executive assistant at NSA, Rocky Flats and Ball Aerospace.

Stephanie enjoyed swimming, camping, boating, the beach, and most outdoor activities. She collected bear figurines and was a loving “mom” to many German Shepherd’s during her life.

Stephanie is preceded in death by her brother Hugh Pitzer, III and is survived by her husband, her parents, her brothers Kurt Pitzer (Melodee), Michael Pitzer (Nancy), and Philip Pitzer (Jane). In addition she is survived by nieces Jessica, Katie, Shannon, Faith and nephews Robbie, Kevin, Joe, Keith, Steven, Michael, Hugh, her dog Cody, and many friends who loved her dearly.

Family and friends are invited to a celebration to honor Stephanie at Howe Mortuary & Cremation Services in Longmont, CO on Tuesday December 30th at 3:00 pm, with a reception to follow.
