June 22, 1989 - April 17, 2011
Sterling James died peacefully in the safety of his granny and grandad’s home. He is no longer in pain from the physical world, and he is free from temptation.
Sterling had recently cemented his relationship with God and spent the last hours of his life with a smile on his face, having fun with his dad. He is survived by his fiancé Rhiannah Warner, his son Jaden James Compton; his mother Stacy Compton, father Keith Compton, stepmother June Kolby, his sisters Mari, (his little buddy Austin) Kelsey, Charlie, and Abbie, his brothers Allan and Jack, grandparents Richard and Verna Salmon, Nancy and Jerry Gierheart, his aunts, uncles, cousins and nephews.
Sterling had recently started on a journey that included physical, mental and spiritual clarity and was committed to doing the next right thing. Everyone can rest assured that Sterling is in Heaven with Bubba and others that have gone before him. Everyone should also be aware that God did not take him for punishment; he took him because he was special. We will all remember him in different ways, but the one common denominator is that we all loved him.
Donations to assist his child may be made payable to the Sterling Compton Memorial Fund and can be mailed to St. Vrain Valley Credit Union, attn: Kaycee, 1444 E. 3rd Ave. Longmont, CO 80501
