Steven D. Romero

Steven D. Romero, 35, of Longmont, Colorado, died Sunday, January 27, 2008 at Longmont United Hospital following a brief illness.Steve was born August 27, 1972 in Greeley, Colorado, to Jim and Betty (Baca) Romero. He graduated from Skyline High School in 1990. On August 10, 1991, Steve married Deborah L. Boos in Longmont.Mr. Romero worked for a number of years at Rental City, and most recently as a maintenance technician with ASI.Steve loved football, especially the Broncos, attending his brothers’ live music shows, family gatherings, and joking with his family and friends.He is survived by his wife, Debbie, and children, Justin and Stephanie Romero of Longmont; his parents, Jim and Betty Romero of Greeley; three brothers, Jimmy Romero and his wife, Alicia, of McCook, Nebraska, Shaun Romero and his wife, Tara, of Longmont, and Robert Romero and his wife, Shana, of Brighton; maternal grandmother, Susie Saenz of Greeley; and paternal grandmother, Lucy Romero of Longmont; and by several cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Howe Mortuary and Cremation Services, Longmont. A memorial service will be held at the Howe Mortuary Chapel at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 1, 2008.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Steve’s memory to Howe Mortuary, 439 Coffman St., Longmont, CO 80501.
