Teresa M Ford

Teresa Marie Ford, 60, passed away March 28, 2010 at Hospice Care Center, Louisville after a courageous battle with Breast Cancer. She was a loving wife, wonderful mother, devoted sister and great friend.Terry was born April 3, 1949 in Exeter, California to Ruth (Whiteman) Rand. In 1961, she moved with her family to Longmont and has made her home here ever since. She met her future husband, Mart Ford, in1965 while they were both students at Longmont High School. Terry graduated in 1967.On July 27, 1968, Terry and Mart were married. They have filled the past 42 years with more laughter and love than some will ever know. They were truly the best of friends. Terry had many business ventures over the years. But, no job was more important to her than being a wife and mother. She taught everyone in her life, especially her husband and daughters, about the importance of family and how they stick together under all circumstances. She was the picture perfect definition of unconditional love and showed it to everyone who was privileged enough to know her. She was always a mom to many others besides her children. Terry looked out for all the children in her neighborhood and even the friends of her two daughters called her mom. She will be forever be in our hearts, continuing to fill us all with love.Preceding her in death are her mother and nephew Levi Rand.She is survived by her husband of Longmont; daughters Cameron (Jason) Stevens and Colbie Ford both of Longmont; three brothers Calvin (Cindy) Rand, Larry Rand, and Tim Rand all of Longmont; two sisters Beverly (Robert) French-Strohmeier of Denver and Merri Ann (Ken) Nelson of Firestone and her three precious granddaughters Taylor, McKenna and Mylie Stevens of Longmont, numerous nieces and nephews. A cremation has been entrusted to the Howe Mortuary and Cremation Services.A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at LifeBridge Christian Church.Contributions maybe made to the Rand Foundation, c/o Howe Mortuary, 439 Coffman St., Longmont, CO 80501.
