

Timothy James Mullen, 61, of Erie, Colorado, passed away on August 10th, 2025. Born on February 9th, 1964, in Denver, CO to William James Mullen and Lucille Diane (Haseltine) Mullen, he made Erie his home for his entire life where he loved the close-knit community and familiarity of friends and family.
Tim attended Erie High School and enlisted in the US Navy in 1986, serving as an Electricians Mate on the USS New Orleans in San Diego. After four years of active duty, he continued his service in the Naval Reserves. After his military career, Tim became a respected electrician and was known for his dedication to his craft.
Tim was passionate about his work, often studying electric code in his spare time with the brilliant ability to recite much of what he studied at the drop of a hat. He was also an avid reader, with a keen interest in historical events of the mid-to-late 1800’s. Tim also took classes at the Stratford Career Institute where he earned several certificates.
Tim was incredibly loyal and resilient, known to be there when his friends and family were in need. Even in the face of uncertainty, he would quote war hero Audie Murphy, “just keep pushing forward”.
The family are filled with gratitude for the loving care that his niece Kara, and life-long friends Tom and Russ provided to Tim.
Tim is lovingly remembered by his mother Lucille Mullen, his daughter Tiffani Ringler, sister Karen Mullen Kovets, brother-in-law Kevin Kovets, and his nieces Kara and Kaitlin Kovets. He is preceded in death by his father William Mullen. Tim will be laid to rest on August 26th, at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
