

Trudy Davison, 98, was born Minnie Gertrude Harvey on June 22, 1917 in Ft. Townsend, OK to Leonard Clayborn and Pearlie Ann Harvey. Trudy was raised in Oklahoma with her large, musically talented family, who often sang and played instruments for their own enjoyment and at family gatherings. On January 11, 1938 Trudy married Wayne C. Davison in Ardmore, OK. Wayne was a petroleum geologist. They lived in Texas, Oklahoma and Alaska, and settled for good in Longmont, CO in 1989.Trudy loved quilting, painting, decorating and especially needlework. She got together on a regular basis with a group of lady friends who also did needlework. They worked on projects, caught up with one another and affectionately called themselves the Stitch and Bitch Club.Trudy had a keen wit, was adventurous, and always game for activities that involved her family. She was a true Southern lady whose gracious ways and fine homemaking skills made everyone feel welcome in her warm and happy home. Trudy was an accomplished cook, often baking pies, cookies and cakes to satisfy her sweet tooth, always sharing with family and friends. The memories of the wonderful holidays, meals and family gatherings with Trudy rest in the hearts of all who loved and cherished her.Trudy is loved beyond words and will be missed beyond words.Trudy was preceded in death by husband, Wayne; grandson, Corey; brothers Leonard Noble Harvey and Dewey Raymond Harvey; infant sister Velma Captola Harvey; half-brother, James Franklin (Jop) Joplin, and sister-in-law Maxine Joplin; sister-in-law Jean Harvey; brother-in-law Elzie R. (Doc) Landers, and half-sister, Ruby Clara Joplin Walker; and brother-in-law Wes Walker.Trudy is survived by her son Dennis and his wife, Vicki, of Longmont, CO; son Greg and his wife, Jan, of Longmont, CO; granddaughter, Erica McCormac, her husband, Nick, and their children Cole and Shea of Ft. Collins, CO. Also surviving Trudy are her sister Lottie Mae Landers of Tulsa, OK; brother Louis Harvey of Dewey, OK; sisters-in-law Helen Harvey of Lawton, OK and Patsy Harvey of Houston, TX, and many beloved nieces and nephews in Colorado, Oklahoma and Texas.A viewing will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 5 at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel, 326 Terry Street, Longmont, CO. A private family service will take place graveside following the viewing.
