

Virginia Cooley Linder, of Longmont, entered into rest on Monday, October 13, 2025. She was born on March 17, 1942 in South Dakota to Antone Troyer and Caroline (Johnson) Troyer. She was the second youngest of their eight children.
Virginia married her first husband, Miron Cooley. Together they had three children, Doyle, Tami, and Toni. After Miron's passing, Virginia later married her second husband, Darrell Linder.
Virginia was known for her outgoing nature and was always busy with her various hobbies and activities. Her vibrant personality and enthusiasm for life were evident in her active involvement in the local bowling leagues and her participation at The Moose, where she made lasting friendships and contributed to the community spirit. In her spare time, she loved to tend to her garden, go out dancing, go fishing, play bingo, and cheer on the Denver Broncos. She also enjoyed taking numerous trips over the course of her life, especially day trips up to Black Hawk to go gambling. At the end of the day, she was known to enjoy a cold beer on ice. Her family will always treasure the love that she gave.
Virginia was predeceased by her parents, Antone and Caroline Troyer; first husband, Miron Cooley; second husband, Darrell Linder; and siblings, John Troyer, Joe Troyer, Ralph Troyer, Frank Troyer, Bobbie Troyer, Jeanie Dike, and Lorraine Brammer.
Virginia is survived by her son, Doyle (Maritoni) Cooley; grandson, Keanu Cooley; daughter, Toni Murphey; grandchildren, Brandi Murphey and Ashley (Jason) Maselink; great-grandchildren, Ayiana, Alyssa, Emily, August and Alaster; daughter, Tami (Thomas Jr.) Rick; grandchildren, Lorretta (Brian) Starck, Tylar Rick, and Dirk (Jackie) Rick; and great grandchildren, Wyatt Starck, Sawyer Starck, Kahl Starck, Chancey Rick, and Cooper Rick.
A visitation will be held at Howe Mortuary, 439 Coffman St, Longmont, on October 27, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The funeral service will take place at the same venue on October 28, 2025, at 11:00 am. Following the funeral service, a graveside committal will be held at Foothills Gardens of Memory, 14241 N 107th St, Longmont, at 12:00 pm.
A celebration of life will be held at The Moose, in The Social Quarters, located at 2210 Pratt Street, Longmont, Colorado, on November 9, 2025, beginning at 1:00 pm.
