
Warren Skip Phillips, 66, of Longmont passed away December 28, 2010 at Longmont United Hospital. He was born on August 27, 1944 in Livermore, California to Warren L. and Marion (Stamps) Phillips, Sr.Skip married Linda McWilliams on May 29, 1966 in Victoria, Texas.Skip's 20 years of military service started with the United States Navy in 1963, and continued as an air traffic controller with the United States Air Force until his retirement in 1997. Concurrently, he was a self employed insurance claims adjuster at major catastrophes in the United States. He recently worked part-time at Wal-Mart assembling bicycles.Skip's life was his family and friends. He earned the rank of Eagle Scout and supported the Boy Scouts, was an avid reader, and enjoyed RV travelling.He was preceded in death by his parents.Skip is survived by his wife Linda and daughter Julia Phillips of Longmont, along with several close friends.Memorial service will be 2:00 pm Monday, January 3, 2011 at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Military Honors by United States Air Force. Cremation Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Longmont Humane Society and sent in care of Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.
