And here we are, going on 2 years. I still miss my doc!
I haven't found a 'real' doctor yet to replace Dr. Valencia. Mostly NPs, who just follow what they are told. No connection to patients. 
If I met my current provider on the street,  I doubt he'd even recognize me. Warren would.  
How in the world do I find this good of a physician?! 

It's been one year today and at times it feels like I just saw you yesterday. Most other days it feels like I havent in forever. I always worried you would leave us because I knew you were irreplaceable. Our lives will never be the same. You always gave  us the cold hard truth and we knew you wanted us to stay healthy. We still have not found a doctor we feel great about. They are all reactive and not proactive. None are personable. We feel like we are just another nobody to them. Like they dont really care. We still talk about you and how much better our lives would be if you were still here. You will be missed forever Dr. Valencia. Idk remember if I ever thanked you but I sure hope I did. 

I can’t believe it has been a year already. I really miss You. Miss Your voice You could always make things better. I can still see you giving me one of those looks over Your glasses.  😉

Thought I’d look to see if a college friend and NYT Crossword puzzle solver was still doing it

We played cards, did puzzles, and laughed all the time
Different fraternities at UB , but it mattered not
Lots of laughs 
If I’m not mistaken he lived with Mark Rothstein when they were in Med School
Had the pleasure of meeting Marvin the Hump as Warren referred to his father on more than more than one occasion

I knew Warren when he first came to town. He worked in the emergency room early 70's. My Mom had to take my Dad to the emergency room he was on duty. You can imagine what my Dad thought when he came in with long hair and clogs Lol. He didn't take any nonsense from my Dad, ( My Mom Loved him. ) I told him when he got his own practice to let me know, He Did 🥰 ONLY DOCTOR WHO EVER LISTENED 💖 REST IN PEACE MY FRIEND 💔

Sorry to hear of Warren's passing.  May he rest in peace.  My sympathies to his family.

Dr Valencia was special. He was my husband and my dr for a long time. He was more than just a dr. He was our friend. He cared for us and helped us for so many years. I will miss him so very much. I felt like he actually cared for us not like so many other doctors these days.  This world is definitely worse off without a kind caring man like Dr, Valencia. I will miss him so much. I pray he knew how much we appreciated him.   

I just today learned of Dr. Valencia's passing. It broke my heart.  As many others have written here, he was absolutely the best doctor as well as friend. Godspeed,  Warren. We all will keep you in our thoughts.  

I'm so sad that Dr. Warren has passed.  My health improved under his care, not the least because I wanted him to be proud of me.  He could diagnose me the moment he saw me.   Astonished, I would ask him how he knew.  He waived it off and said, "Listen, I don't miss anything anymore."  He also gave me sage personal advice and feedback. He was the best doctor I ever had. I just heard about the passing of my Dr. Valencia. 
He was my favorite G. P. and someone I referred to as my friend.

I've been a patient of Dr. Valencia since 1996.

Back in 2003 I came to his symptomatic of a M.  S.  attack .
He got me the tests that day. Not in a couple of days or week.
He always had my best interest and my back.

I will truly miss him.

I was referred to Dr. Valencia by a chiropractor who realized that my past doctors were not taking my problem seriously. He said, "Let's do some tests", and then he took me seriously. I took one of my kids to Dr. Valencia after the pediatrician ignored symptoms. Dr. Valencia confirmed them, and sent me to a specialist. I asked the pediatrician if she wanted the result. She didn't because she would never see that in her practice ever again.
  He had been my doctor for over 20 years. He always listened, was thorough, gentle and kind.
  When another one of my kids went to see him, she said he was kissing his girlfriend in the corridor.  This made me very happy, he was so wonderful to so many people.  
  There is a special place in heaven for people, like Dr. Valencia, who has given so much help and compassion for those who suffer. I will always remember him and his kind heart.

The first time I met Dr. Valencia, I was just a kid. I always left his office with a solution and began to feel better quickly. He was always interested in what I was doing and how my family was doing. He was a very kind person. I had the privilege to see him recently and we talked about many things, including  caring for people. I am a Nurse and he was the best MD I knew and trusted for over 40 years. The world has lost someone very special and he will be missed. Thank you Warren!  God Bless.

Dr Valencia is cherished in the “Cunningham” family. He led me through the toughest time of my life and at the end called me his “miracle patient”. I loved him like a father, someone wise and willing to take on your burdens as his own. He did this for me and in the end, ...now 4 years later I am taking classes as a personal trainer and a nutritionist specialist. This is all him, his wisdom, his council, and most of all his TIME!!! I wouldn’t be the woman I am today if it wasn’t for the TIME he spent with me. Figuring out what was happening in my body, caring for me, educating me. He saved my life! And gave me many more years to live. I’m FOREVER grateful for him! He is so missed!

We always liked and appreciated his no-nonsense demeanor, especially the way he cared for us as a doctor. We’ll always cherish the memories of meeting him when we worked out at Carl’s gym, many moons ago. You will be missed Dr. Valencia, by our whole family. Rest In Peace my friend and God bless. 

Doctor Valencia took care of us for 30+ years. How wonderful it was to have so much confidence in your doctor's ability to help you make important medical decisions, and reap the benefit of his friendship. He also took care of my mother at her end of life and was so kind and compassionate. His knowledge and dedication to his work went unrivaled. We will miss your smile, your wit, and your loving care.  I was so saddened to hear of Dr Valencia’s passing .... he has taken care of myself and my family for many many years ....  Dr  Valencia  would always find the time to talk with me and reassure me  with a smile that everything will be fine .... Dr. Valencia was a very thorough doctor and  he would always make you feel special he will be dearly missed 

Dr V and I go back many years. I once ask him what his plans were for the Christmas holidays  and he said  he was going to make every effort to have none of his patients hospital bound over the holidays because that was stressful on them and their families. Over the years I came to understand that was what defined him, his patient’s health and well being. I am sad to see him go. He will be missed by many. To his family and staff I offer my condolences. 

So sorry  to hear the news about my Doctor.  Like Doc very much and will miss him!  He took very good care of me.

Dr. V was first my parents' doctor and then mine.  He cared for us for more than 40 years.  My mother simply adored him and he had a genuine love for her.  Whenever I would go to his office, he would enter the room saying "Ms. Squires, to what do I owe this honor?"  He would spar with me, argue with me and ultimately he would be right but on the few occasions he wasn't, he was quick to pat me on the back for turning things around on my own.  
Always thirsty for knowledge, he once told my Dad when he was stumped about something, "I don't know the answer but I'm going to find out"... and he did.  I admired his honesty, tenacity and the fierceness with which he cared for and protected his patients.  
Rest in peace, Dr. V.   You will be sorely missed.  You can rest peacefully knowing that you gave all you did everything you had.

Words cannot convey how devastated and heartbroken we are at losing our beloved doctor of more than 40 years.  Obviously Dr. Valencia loved and cared for each of us and we all have our personal stories to tell.  He leaves a void that can’t be replaced and he was correct when he said, “You will never find another doctor like me.”

   You took care of me and my family for over 40 years. The last conversation that I  had with you was at the end of July.  At that time I told you how much I really appreciated the wonderful  care that you had given to me, my sons and brother over the years. He said “Joanie, your sons are like sons to me. I love them.”
  That was the last time I saw you, and I’m so grateful that I gave you my heartfelt thanks.  I just wished that I had hugged you too, Warren. 🤗

Dr V was our family dr for more years than I can count... A kind and sympathetic person who made you feel like he cared about you as an individual. Go rest high on that mountain, doc, your work on earth is done. God Speed , my friend! 

It is sincerely heartbreaking to lose such a wonderful doctor and friend as Dr. Valencia.  My deepest sympathy and condolences to his family and to his dedicated staff.  He was a shining example of an excellent and knowledgeable physician who truly cared about his patients and their well being.  He worked diligently and persevered through his pain in his latter years of practice to help others.  

I first met Dr. Valencia several years ago when my husband required  emergency care.  From that time forward, he became our doctor and, over the years, also became a beloved friend.  It is an honor having known him.

Dr. Valencia, please know that you will be greatly missed.  May God's love and blessings surround you and may you shine brightly in the heavens as you did here.

Dr. V., as we affectionately called him, was always so kind and a very generous man. I had the pleasure of serving him in two capacities- both as a valet at the hospital and as his newspaper delivery person. The character of a person is evident in how he treats those who are in service positions, and Dr. V. was always a shining example of how to treat others with respect and dignity. I am grateful for the many blessings I received through him! 

My deepest condolences to Dr. Valencia 's family, friends, and staff. He was my husband's doctor for many years and we were both so impressed with his care and knowledge.  He was definitely an "old school" kind of doctor.  He listened and cared.

Dr. Valentia was my physician for 25 years. 
His medical advice was a big reason that I am still alive. He truly cared about his patients and was willing to take the time to listen to them so that they could be properly diagnosed and then treated. 

This dedicated physician helped save my life in 2006. I will always be grateful. May he rest in peace.

Warren Valencia was my doc for many years.  My favorite memory and one that has stuck with me is when he was talking about being an MD.  He said: "They call it the "practice" of medicine for a reason.  We look at what the symptoms are and then we guess what  will work to help it.  If it doesn't work we try something else.  We practice and do our best, hoping it will work." An unusual and humble guy and one of the smartest people I ever came across.  He was a superb physician who was willing to try unusual things to help his patients. He helped me when others could not.  Thank you for all you brought to the world and your devotion to your patients.

Although for 20 years as a patient I always had to wait to see him, he was one of the very few people I have known that was worth waiting for. I will miss him greatly.

My dad had become a patient of his after a decline in his health and his current doctor couldn’t seem to help. I truly believe Dr V saved his life and gave my dad several more years of life.

He looked after my Family for years. He was a bit of a Maverick but that's what I loved about him . will be truly missed. Last Physcian that wasnt caught up into Conglomerate Health care. He truly cared about his patients....

Devastated by this immeasurable loss. Dr. Valencia was the epitome of an informed & caring doctor and friend. Deeply grateful for care we benefitted from since 1978, when he attended to Jim in ER after terrible car accident. He persevered to care for patients in spite of his physical difficulties. We were lucky recipients off his dedication to be the BEST doctor, who educated us to care for ourselves and credit our well being to him. We will remember the fit young doctor who rode his bike to attend gatherings at our home in the ‘80’s. We send condolences to family, his staff and all who mourn for him. May he Rest In Peace and be free to ride his bike again! We will always LOVE you!

I first met Warren in the early 1980’s when he treated me for a construction related injury in Longmont United’s ER. Warren’s trademark then  were his clogs! We were both avid runners and cyclists and he was always available to help me w/running related injuries; shin splints, tendinitis, etc. On several occasions, we trained together at Carl’s Gym. I remember him inviting me to Red Rocks for a Grateful Dead Concert, if his first choice declined. Warren eventually became Primary Care Physician for both of my patents who adored him and his New York savy as they too hailed from New York.  Great person and excellent physician w/genuine heart for his patients well being. Thank you Warren

Words cannot express the feelings we have for this loss.  Dr. Valencia was not only the best doctor ever, but a very dear friend we loved and respected so much.   You are going to be missed, and never forgotten by so many that had the honor of knowing you, and having you as their doctor.   You will no longer have to endure the extreme pain of your back injury,  which never kept you from being there for all of us.  You have given so much of yourself and you  will now rest in peace.  May the good Lord bless and keep you til we meet again.

I'm heart broken.  He was my husband's doctor first by about 15 years before I started to see him.  The first time I met him was when my husband asked me to go with him because my husband was afraid he may get some bad results; Dr Valencia made some sny comment, "Well I guess Eric can't come to the doctor by himself."  

I never told him about that when I started to see him as my primary doctor; I actually think it would have embarrassed him.  But after watching the improvements he made on my husband's health, I started going to him.  Through the education he's given me on taking care of myself, I think he's given me at least another 10 years of living.  I am forever grateful and will miss him dearly.  

Dr. V has been my Dr. for 36 years and my heart is so sad we lost him but heaven has received a kind soul who put his patients before his own health.

Our prayers are with his family and his staff.
