Wayne T. Brown

Wayne T. Brown, 83, of Longmont passed away March 3, 2018 at Life Care Center of Longmont. He was born January 23, 1935 in Dalhart, Texas to Austin and Lelia (Kent) Brown. Wayne served in the U.S. Marines from 1954 to 1957; he married Merri Wilburn on July 23, 1955 in Modesto, California. Wayne worked as an Air Traffic Controller, a pilot, a farmer and a pumper for El Paso Natural Gas Company.They attended New Creation Church. Wayne was an avid reader, and he enjoyed welding and playing his guitar.He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Austin Kent Brown and Bill Brown; and four sisters: Doris Laney, Evelyn Gibson, Ruth Lathem, and Cletus Gross. Wayne is survived by his wife Merri; one son Kent Brown (Penny); three daughters: Kaye Pyle (David), Kym Parker (Larry) and Kerri Brown; a brother Robert Bob Brown; a sister Glenna Robinson; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.Visitation will start at 10 AM Thursday March 8, 2018 with Funeral service to start at 10:30 AM at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at 10:15 AM Friday March 9, 2018, Shelter C, at Ft. Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado. In lieu of flowers, contributions to lovehasfeet.org.
