Wayne Clark Gill

Wayne was born on December 2, 1941, in Gillette, WY, to Clark Coe Gill and Jewell Anna Twiss. Wayne was in the US Navy from 1959-1962. He was honored to be a veteran and the Navy created a passion for living close to the ocean. Wayne spent several years living in Ocean Beach, San Diego.

In 1959 Wayne married Loretta Odessa Lambert, they had one daughter Lore Ann who married Kevin Ruebesam. Wayne has two grandsons, Zachary and Nathan Ruebesam, who were his “true joy” in life.

Wayne lived and worked for many years as a Machinist in Denver, Colorado. The family also resided in Thornton, Broomfield, and Brighton before moving to Platteville, Colorado in 1996. Prior to his retirement in 2012, he was employed with Auto Zone and Safeway. Wayne was known as a dedicated employee and hard worker. He spent many years as a member of the local VFW 6011.

Wayne is preceded in death by his parents and beloved grandmother, Anna Twiss, who he spent many formative years with. His brother Lyle Gill, nephew Steven Gill and great-nephew Osten Gill. He is survived by his lovely wife Loretta Gill, daughter Lore (Kevin) Ruebesam, grandchildren Zachary and Nathan Ruebesam. Niece Sherryl Gill, nephew Kalvin Gill, his children Tamara Barnes and Tari Richardson. Steven Gill’s children, Kaleb and Steven Gill Jr. His nephew, Travis Faulkner, who was essential in his hospice care at home, and nephew, John Faulkner who lived with Wayne and Loretta in his teens. As well as many other family members who were significant in his life.

A funeral service for Wayne will be held Monday, April 11, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Howe Mortuary, 439 Coffman St, Longmont, CO 80501. A reception at family home will occur. Burial will occur Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at 2:30 PM at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 4400 W Kenyon Avenue, Denver, CO 80236.
