Wayne S. Kleinschmidt

Wayne S. Kleinschmidt of Longmont died November 3, 2011 at Longmont United Hospital. He was 76 years old.Wayne was born on May 26, 1935 in Wausau, Wisconsin, the son of Morris and Evelyn (R mke) Kleinschmidt. He served in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper and was honorably discharged.Wayne married Helen Martin in 1956 in Chicago. They later divorced.Wayne was a Tool and Die Maker with General Motors for 32 years, retiring in 1989. He was a member of the United Auto Workers Union. Wayne moved to Longmont in 2010.Wayne was an avid hunter, fisherman, reader, and Green Bay Packers fan.He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Karen Kleinschmidt.Wayne is survived by two sons, Tom Kleinschmidt (Julie) of Grapevine, Texas and Scott Kleinschmidt (Kathryn) of Evergreen Park, Illinois; a daughter, Kathy Kleinschmidt (David Daniel) of Longmont; two brothers, Morris Kleinschmidt (Lynnea) of Maine and Larry Bogie of Marcellus, Michigan; a sister, Nathalie Reister of Wyoming, Michigan; seven grandchildren, Elizabeth, Andrew and James Kleinschmidt, Kelly and Jack Kleinschmidt and Graham and Lisette Daniel and former wife Marge Harden.A private family service will be held in Wisconsin at a later time. Cremation is under the care of Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory.
