Bruce Wayne Russell

Born in Louisville, Kentucky on Tuesday, April 1, 1952, Bruce was the son of the lates's Robert Wayne Russell and Blanche Ann Durham. He attended and graduated from Valley High School, a member of the Class of 1970. Bruce was a former Mainframe Operator in I.T.. He had a passion for nature, being a member of the Boy Scouts of America as well as the Eagles Scouts. He was also a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels. He loved HAM radios, cars, and LEGOs in recent years. Bruce loved to build things and also tinker with Lionel Model Trains.

Besides his parents, Robert Wayne and Blanche Ann Russell; his wife, Patricia Russell; and uncle, Everett Stone precede Bruce in his passing.

Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Kelly Ann (Buddy) Russell; his aunt, Carlene Stone; cousin, Joe Stone; and close friend, Jana Brizendine; plus, a host of relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Heady - Hardy Funeral Home. Bruce will be laid to rest in Bethany Memorial Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. and then again on Thursday, August 14, 2025 from 10:30 a.m. until the Funeral Hour of 12:00 p.m. also at Heady - Hardy Funeral Home.
