Carolyn was known for her timeless elegance, always well put together and stylish. She loved fashion, shopping, and had a gift carrying herself with grace and class.
She found her greatest happiness in the company of her family and relatives, and she adored her husband of 30 years, who was the love of her life.
She is preceded in death by her husband Paul Baker Jr., her mother Letha W. Cooksey, her father Ligeh Robert Stroud, 7 brothers and sisters, her mother and father-in-law Mary Anna and Paul Baker Sr., and son Bobby Baker.
She is survived by her children Michael Baker, Doris Caddell, Brenda (Hugh) Taylor, and Mary (Michael) Moseley, 7 grandchildren, her sister Susie Mills, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Carolyn will be held Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Advantage Funeral Home-Hardy Chapel, 10907 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY 40272. A funeral service will occur at the Funeral Home Chapel Friday, September 19, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM, with graveside service to follow from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Bethany Memorial Cemetery, 10917 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40272. Open viewing is from 11:00am-12:00pm.
