He was preceded in death by his parents, William Smith and Anna Smith; siblings, Diann Brooks, and Tony Lewis
Edward is survived by a loving wife, Brenda Faye Smith; children, Michael lynn Smith, Brenda Lee Smith Hammond, Kimberly Renee Smith, 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and 2 brothers.
He born in Owensboro, KY but grew up in Louisville, KY and joined the Army at the age of 17. Lee had many hobbies during his life, but the joy he experienced around family made him feel the fullest. He would do anything for his loved ones and insisted to do things his own way.
Our family is grateful to know that Lee is finally at peace.
A visitation for Edward will be held Thursday, April 20, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services – Hardy Chapel, 10907 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY 40272. A funeral service will occur Friday, April 21, 2023 at 12:00 PM, 10907 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY 40272. A committal service will occur Friday, April 21, 2023 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, 2501 N Dixie Blvd, Radcliff, KY 40160.
