He was retired from Catalyst Chemical, Inc. \United Catalyst\Sud-Chemie after 30 + years of service. He enjoyed tinkering with old cars, old school country music and playing bingo.
Edwin was preceded in death by his wife; Bonnie Kay with 56 years of marriage, parents; William and Juanita two brothers; William and George, sister; Betty Powers
He has left behind to cherish his memory, his children; Sandra Gail Powers, Harvey Powers (Tracy) and Trina Shoulders (Greg), his four siblings; Terry Powers (Diane), Lonnie Powers, Joyce Malone, Carney Powers (Faye) five grandchildren; Stephen Powers (Sasha), Amanda Guillermo (Bryant), Nik Powers(Brittaney), Beth Shoulders and Tracy Shoulders, great-grandchildren; Olive Powers, Jayden Hale, Bryson Hale and several loving nieces and nephews.
Edwin's visitation will be Thursday, October 24, 2024 at Advantage funeral Home Hardy Chapel, 10907 Dixie Hwy from 3 to 8 PM and Friday from 9:00 AM to his service time. His funeral service, will be Friday, October 25, at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Entombment will follow, at Bethany Cemetery.
