Elizabeth "Betty" Burks, 84, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2026. She was born to the late Marshall and Catherine Hodge in Fort Knox, Kentucky, and spent her life surrounded by family and friends who loved her dearly.
Betty was a faithful member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, where she was an active participant in the Friendship Club. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she cherished her time with her church community. She enjoyed cross-stitching, as well as going on vacations, and she had a gift for storytelling that brought joy to all who listened. Betty was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, Betty's greatest passion was her family.
Betty was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert and Ronald Hodge; her son, Douglas Burks; her daughter, Tracy Finley; and her grandson, Brad McCutchen.
Left to cherish Betty's memory are her children, Steven (Ellen) Burks, Kristy (Aaron) McCutchen; grandchildren, Katie, Nick, Gara-Lyn, Lindsey, and Savanah; great-grandchildren, Paxton, Ruby, Brandon, Derik, Valor, Vidal, Chastidy, Devin; great-great grandchildren, Anniah-Lynn and Lilyana; brother James Dennis Hodge; along with many extended family members, including Kenneth and Valorie Delcour, Barbara and David Coffey, and special friends, Shannon Willman, Mary L. Gerhard, Ruthie Mayfield, and Carol Stephens.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 6th, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Advantage Funeral Home - Hardy Chapel, 10907 Dixie Hwy, 40272.
Her Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 7th, at 11:00 AM at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 5433 Johnsontown Road, 40272. Burial will immediately follow at Bethany Memorial Cemetery.
