Elizabeth Greer

Elizabeth Alene Greer of Louisville, KY passed away to her Heavenly home on Wednesday, January 24, 2024.

Alene was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a wonderful homemaker who loved and took care of her family. She loved to spend time with them.

She was a member of West Point Christian Church and then Highland Park Christian Church.

She enjoyed helping in various areas of the church, especially helping in the nursery.

She always enjoyed taking care of children. Before her marriage, she worked in the nursery at St. Joseph Hospital. She raised her two children, Steve and Judy. She helped in the nursery at church and over the years babyset about a dozen kids from around her neighborhood. After that, she loved helping with her granddaughter Eryn.

She was born to George and Julie Glass April 1, 1928 in Edmonson county, KY.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles Oliver Greer, parents George and Julie Glass, her siblings J.W. Glass, Lilly Mae Logsdon, Iva Andrews, Dorothy Hoerter, Coy Alford.

She is survived by her loving children, Charles Stephen Greer and Judy Garrett (William) , and her granddaughter Eryn Lafoe (Leonard), and siblings Irene Minton, Virginia Jones, Geneva Cassidy, James Glass, and Many other loving family members and friends.

She will be missed.

Alene's funeral will be at Advantage funeral home Hardy Chapel 10907 Dixie Hwy. on Tuesday January 30, 2024 at 1 PM. Burial will follow at Haynes Cemetery Battletown KY. Visitation will be at the funeral home Tuesday from 10 to her funeral time.
