Gerald Wayne Cundiff Sr.

Gerald Wayne Cundiff Sr., 83, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2026, leaving behind a family who adored him and a life full of love, laughter, and giving. He was the son of the late Arvil and Thelma (Campbell) Cundiff born in Eastview Kentucky on February 23, 1943. He was married to the love of his life, Patsy, and they shared 63 years together until her passing on May 31, 2025. Now, they are together - again - for eternity.

Gerald, or as many affectionately called him, Papaw, he loved his family, especially his grandchildren, and his horses.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Patsy; and oldest brother, Layman Cundiff.

Left to cherish Gerald’s memory are his children, Gerald Cundiff Jr. (Ruth), Jeff Cundiff (Lisa), and Michelle Cundiff Olson ( Glenn Buscemi); grandchildren, Heidi Miceli Underwood (Ryan), Corey Cundiff (Chelsea), Kayla Wade (Jackson), Sydney O'Connor (Robert), and Malorie Bega (Leo), Jasmine Buscemi; great-grandchildren, Mason Miceli, Jersey Miceli, Allie Miceli, Avery Johnson, Braxton Bega, Bella Bega, Robert O'Connor IV, Parker O' Connor, Titan Underwood, Garrett Underwood, McKenna Dodson, Aria Cundiff, plus another boy, Rhett, on the way; siblings, Darrell Cundiff (Brenda), Arvil Cundiff, Jr.(Sharon), Kathy Johnson (Bobby); and several extended family members and dear friends.

Visitation for Gerald will be on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Advantage Funeral Home, 10907 Dixie Highway, 40272. The Funeral Service will be Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow at Bethany Memorial Cemetery, 10917 Dixie Highway, 40272.
