He was a Loving father, brother, grandfather.
Joe was born on March 16, 1953 in Morgantown Kentucky to the late James Cardwell and Febbie Bratcher Cardwell (Kulp Paul).
He was met at the gates of Heaven by his loving wife, Barbara Cardwell; sisters, Virginia Gaddis, Carol Cardwell (Grut), Valerie Cardwell, Louise Cardwell; brother, James (Corkey) Cardwell.
Joe leaves behind his children, Joe Colgate (Molly), David Cardwell (Kim), James Cardwell (Cheryl), and Dale Cardwell; siblings, James Cardwell (Linda), Tommy Cardwell (Brenda) , Linda Eads (Joe), Deloris Lind, Lorie Cardwell (Anthony), Cindy Cardwell (Tony), Angie Cardwell (Red), Will Perks (Malissa).
He also leaves many grandchildren.
Joe also leaves his friends Roger Willock, Tommy Crum, Eddie Crum, Jack Evart, Larry Parson, Lavern Parsons, and many other friends
A funeral service for Joe will be held on Friday at 12:00pm at Advantage Funeral Home (10907 Dixie Highway) with burial to follow at Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the funeral home.
