Katherine “Kitty” Barger, age 72, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 26, 2025. She will be remembered for her joyful spirit and love for singing and dancing like nobody's watching, spending time with her family, which brought her the greatest happiness throughout her life.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Delores Pierson.
Kitty is survived by her devoted husband of 38 years, Wayne Barger; her children, Scotty Wilson, Patrick Barger, and Kim Burch; several cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her brothers, Dennis Hatfield, Jimmie Hatfield, and Charles “Corky” Wilson.
Visitation will be held at Advantage Funeral Home, 10907 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY 40272, on Friday, September 5, 2025, from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM, with a funeral service to follow at 12:00 PM. Burial at Bethany Cemetery will follow.
