Maurice W. Smith, 88, passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2016. He was a retired Navy Petty Officer and a member of the South Jefferson Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Wigginton Smith; son, Kevin Smith(Kim); stepsons, Richard(JoEllen) and Samuel(Velma) Wigginton; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. His service will be on Monday 12 noon at the W.G. Hardy Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Entombment in Bethany Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 3-8pm at the funeral home.
