Randell Skaggs

Randell “Randy” Skaggs, 79, of Louisville/Bullitt County, Kentucky, passed away on December 30, 2024. He graduated from Valley High School and was a devoted member and deacon of Summit Hills Baptist Church. He proudly served his country as a U.S. Army Vietnam War veteran and was a member of American Legion Post 121. Randy had a passion for music, often sharing his love for singing and playing guitar. He cherished his time with family and friends.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Leon Skaggs and Nellie Francis (Walker) Skaggs. He is survived by his wife, Carol Ruth (Haukom) Skaggs; his children, Dawna Lynn (Tony) Barnes and Christopher Michael (Terry) Skaggs; grandchildren Courtney (David) Phillips, Sage (Tiffany Le'Ann) (Dustin) Winchester, Ayden Christopher (Brianna) Skaggs, Bailey Adams, and Zach Adams; great-grandchildren Matthias Lawrence Adams and Elijah Owen Phillips; and his brother, Ronnie Dean (Rainy) Skaggs.

Visitation will occur on Thursday, January 9, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Advantage Funeral Home & Cremation Services, located at 10907 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY 40272. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Advantage Funeral Home and Cremation Services with visitation before the service from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral. A committal service will follow at Bethany Memorial Cemetery, located at 10917 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY 40272.
