

Sandra was born on November 11, 1950, in Cedar Grove, Tennessee, to the late Leo and Mary Newsome. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, Mamaw and friend who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Sandra adored her grandchildren and loved spending time with them, along with her family. She had a deep love for horses and betting on them and was a proud native of Tennessee. Some of her hobbies include shopping, reading, cooking, and watching cooking shows. Her selfless and compassionate nature touched everyone who knew her. She was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Michael Wayne Brown Jr.; two brothers; and three sisters. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Michael Wayne Brown Sr.; her children, Sheryn Brown-Ousley and Jason Brown (Nichole); and her cherished grandchildren, Tyler Butler, Trey Waterberry, Riley Brown, Caylee Ousley, Victoria Brown, Tristan Waterberry, Emma Brown, and Noah Brown. She also leaves behind one great-grandchild, Grayson Woods.
In honor of Sandra’s memory, the family requests that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, a cause that was close to her heart.
A visitation for Sandra will be held Wednesday, March 19, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM with a funeral service to follow at Advantage Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 10907 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, Kentucky 40272.
