Sharon was a retired secretary for the Roofers Local Union 147. In her retirement she found a passion for raising chickens and rabbits, taking them to the state and local fairs, where she won several blue ribbons. In her early years she spent a lot of time at Belmont Park working with racehorses. Sharon was an avid gardener, loved fishing, and all things horses. Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, Charles Stratton and Joan Penwell. Their spirits now reunite with hers in the eternal embrace of peace and love.
Sharon is survived by her loving husband, James, a pillar of strength and unwavering support who stood by her side through thick and thin. Together, they built a life full of memories and shared moments that will be treasured forever; Her children Justin and Aly dePierro, and stepson Zachary Ayers; siblings Mike (JoAnn) Stratton, and Tracie (Scot) Johnson; grandchildren Vincent, Layla, and Matthew; several nieces and nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends.
May her spirit find peace in the arms of the Lord, and may her memory forever be a source of comfort and solace to those who loved her. And may we never forget her “Goofy laugh”.
A private visitation was held preceding the cremation.
