Stephen Andrew Hare

Stephen Andrew Hare, 24, passed away April 30, 2017 after a long battle with addiction. He worked so hard the past year to conquer. During this journey he touched many lives and wanted to help others in their struggle. He was never afraid to share his faith. He was so thankful for God's second chance and never giving up on him.

Stephen played baseball at Prairie Village youth, Beechmont youth, AAU Sports and Beth Haven; football at PRP youth, Doss youth and Butler and PRP High Schools. He graduated high school in 2011.

Stephen was preceded in death by a grandfather, Aaron (Burr) Lankford, a grandmother, Virginia (Jenny) Hare and an aunt Cathy Bamforth. He is survived by His Precious Angel, His Pride and Joy, "His Gift from God" - Daughter Olivia Hare; his parents Ricky Hare, and Susan Hare (Bruce); sisters Stephanie and Brittany Hare; nephew Devin Profumo, niece Skyler Profumo; grandmother Shirley Lankford; grandfather John Hare Sr. (Joyce); several aunts and uncles; numerous cousins and countless friends.

A celebration of Stephen's life will be held in the chapel of advantage Funeral Home Hardy Chapel on Friday May 5, 2017 at 12:00 PM. Visitation will be Thursday May 4, 2017 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home and entombment to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.

Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to the family on behalf of Olivia Hare.
