Tammy Krages

Tammy Lynn Krages, age 60, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 14, 1964, to Sonny and Wanda Hale. Tammy lived a life full of love, warmth, and kindness, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Tammy's heart was as big as her smile. She had a deep love for her family, and her greatest joy came from being with them. She was especially close to her husband, Ronald Krages, with whom she shared 44 years of marriage. Ronald described her as the most beautiful, loving, and caring wife he could ever ask for, and he loved her with all his heart. Their bond was one of unwavering devotion.

In addition to her love for her family and friends, Tammy enjoyed a variety of passions. She was known for her love of dancing and playing BINGO, as well as her daily habit of writing in her journal. Tammy found peace and joy in life's small pleasures, such as getting her nails done by her daughter and granddaughter and traveling to new places. She was a warm and caring presence, and her light will continue to shine in the hearts of those who loved her.

Tammy is preceded in death by her son, Robert Louis Krages; her father, Sonny Charles Hale; her brother, Tony Michael Hale; and her stepfather, Gerald Merideth. She is survived by her devoted husband, Ronald Melvin Krages; her daughter, Tabatha Lynn Krages; and her cherished grandchildren, Kayla Michelle Southard, Carson Bowles, Chase Robert Krages, and Lily Ann Shirley and her mother, Wanda Lou Hale. Tammy is also survived Donna and George Hunt, Crystal and Zach West, Missy Krages, Jacque Krages, Jennifer Bratcher, Matthew Southard, Jay Shirley, and the remainder of the Krages family.

Her legacy of love, care, and strength will live on through her family, who will hold her memory close in their hearts forever.

A visitation for Tammy will be held Wednesday, January 22, 2025, from 11AM-1PM at Advantage Funeral Home at 10907 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY 40272, followed by a funeral at 1:00 PM.
