Tevin L. Stubbins

Tevin was an incredible young man. He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and was a member of Canaan Christ Church. He played baseball at Rockford Lane from the ages of 6 to 16 years old, and for the last 12 years, he loved working his job at Cane’s. Tevin never met a stranger, he was a friend to all. He had a great sense of humor, was headstrong and sassy, but also extremely smart. He had an old soul and was known to be quite articulate and poetic. Tevin had a huge heart and loved his family very much, especially his children. He was the best dad.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Terry Houchens; cousins, Charles Harris, Anthony Mills; aunt, April Houchens; grandmothers, Dedra Spurgeon, Angelia Wells; grandfather, Terry Houchens; and great-grandmothers, Clara Stum and Maxine Frazier.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Alexis Adams Stubbins; children, Tevin Stubbins, Amelliah Stubbins; parents, Lovell Stubbins (Michelle), Kathy Rogers (Joe Sr.); siblings, Kenya, Joe Jr., DeAngelia, Tywaun, Brandon, Daelin, Haley, Jasmine, Jordan, Cameron, Kassie, Alyssa; grandparents, Norman Stubbins Jr., Sharon Stubbins, William Spurgeon, Donnie Pearson; in-laws, Bill and Missy Adams; and a host of friends, aunts, uncles, cousins, and loved ones who will miss him dearly.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 from 10am – 1pm at Advantage Funeral Home – Hardy Chapel, 10907 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY 40272. Funeral Service will be at 1pm with a burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. In lieu of flowers, donations made be made out to the family at this time.
